Report: Belarus wants to retarget $6–8 bln exports to Russia
MINSK, Aug 1 (PRIME) – Belarus wants to retarget to Russia about 50% of the exports earlier sold to the E.U. and Ukraine, or U.S. $6–8 billion per year, Dmitry Krutoi, appointed as the ambassador to Russia, said Monday as cited by newswire Belta.
"The first (among the tasks) is the trade volume, We need to retarget eastwards the $15 billion of exports sent to the E.U. and Ukraine,” Krutoi said.
“Russia will have the key place, of course. The goals of the government are set at $4–5 billion. The president set the goal at $6–8 billion, of the goods retargeted to Russia."
